About the Instructor

I am the founder of StrengthsBase, and a long-time believer in the power of strengths-based development.

I hold a bachelors degree in Accounting from DeSales University in Center Valley, Pennsylvania. Before StrengthsBase, I was a CPA for 10 years, and I was on pace to become a partner in my firm. However, I was introduced to strengths-based development in June of 2009, and I knew I found my calling.

I believe that everyone brings a unique set of talents and strengths, but it's not enough to simply understand that everyone is different. The truly great organizations, teams, and individuals learn how to capitalize on these differences.

However, this is not as easy as it sounds. And that’s why I built StrengthsBase. Our online courses were designed to efficiently lead you and your team members down a path of self-discovery and to help you truly unlock your greatest potential.

Studies have shown that individuals who focus on their strengths are 6x more likely to be engaged in their careers...and I want to help you get there!

Give us a try...because I'd love to show you how StrengthsBase can help.

Did you ever stop to wonder what makes great leaders...great?

You may be thinking of things like great communicator, visionary thinker, wisdom, presence, purpose, (insert any other leadership buzzword), etc.…

All of these traits are desirable…and there is no doubt that some leaders possess some these talents. But if you think that all leaders must have all of these talents then you are just wrong!

Simply put, great leaders truly know their strengths…and they have the ability to call on the right strength at the right time…something that we refer to has your leadership style.

We all have the ability to be great leaders. But we all lead in very different ways based on our strengths (and even our limitations).

That's why we created this course!

We will help you find and understand your leadership style in less than 2 hours. By the end of the course, you will:

  • Be able to avoid potentially-harmful “rookie” mistakes (including two big ones that many tout as being “best practices”)
  • Have a clearer picture of who you are (and who you are not)
  • Understand the next steps that you will help you become a great leader

Frequently asked questions

Who should take this course?

At first glance, this course is great first step for all new leaders. However, it can also be beneficial for soon-to-be leaders or even seasoned leaders.

This course requires students to take a close look at themselves. By the end, all students will have a clearer picture of their future development goals. They will be able to identify their areas of weakness, and come up with a plan to (quickly) overcome those weaknesses. And they will be able to identify their areas of potential greatness, and come up with a plan to reaching that potential.

What are the requirements?

Just access to a web browser. This series is about developing and building a strong foundation as a leader, so you don’t need to come in with any prerequisite knowledge.

Why $1?

If you’re thinking, “$1 is cheap…what’s the catch?” then here are two reasons that should put your mind at ease:

  • $1 is so affordable that it puts this information within the reach of everyone…from solo entrepreneurs to startups and even Fortune 500 companies.
  • It also weeds out the ‘freebie-seekers’. We only want serious leaders who are ready to take action, and in our experience charging anything…even if it’s just $1…gets rid of 99% of the slackers.

We also believe that once you experience Part 1 of our leadership series that maybe…just maybe…you’ll come back for Part 2.

Why should I take this course from StrengthsBase?

Most new leaders get thrown into their new role, and they are left to ‘sink or swim’. We want to help you ‘swim’. Part 1 of our leadership series is mostly focused on your personal development. We’ll help you better understand your leadership style. Your leadership style will become your foundation for everything you do as a leader.

How can I sign up multiple people?

If you would like to sign up multiple leaders from your organization, you can contact us here. Just tell us how many people you would like to sign up. (Yes, we offer volume discounts.)

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept most major credit cards like Visa, MasterCard, and American Express. Most payments are processed right through this site during the checkout process. When signing up multiple users, we will send a separate invoice. All courses are shown in USD.

Student testimonials

“When I became a leader, I was really promoted because I was a strong performer individually. However, I had never led anyone in a professional setting. This course helped me understand the areas that I could make a significant impact as a leader.”

John from Delaware

“I was totally guilty of Mistake #2, but I never stopped to consider how it was keeping me from being a great leader. Fresh perspective moving forward.”

Alexis from Virginia

"I would highly recommend this course for any leader (present & future). Too often, we either completely ignore leadership training OR we jump right into ‘leadership skills and competencies’. However, this course provides the logical starting point."

Zack from California
